Into the Fire: Powered by Dream City Church
In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego stood for truth in a culture, and against a government that was hostile to their values. They were willing to go into the fire if necessary. God didn't spare them the FROM the furnace but He was with them IN the fire. In today's culture, standing for truth may be challenging. The world around us is hostile to the Word of God and to biblical values. But we are called to be salt and light. (Matthew 5: 13-16) God has placed us at this time in history on purpose and for a purpose. Join us as we get better equipped to address civics and culture from a biblical worldview.

Be the Light in Your Community w/ Luke Merideth
This week, Debi and guest co-host Sam Oriza are joined by Luke Meredith, Co-Pastor of the Colorado City Dream City Campus and Co-Director of the Short Creek Dream Center.
Luke shares some of his backstory and how he ended up at the Short Creek Dream Center. He talks about the miraculous twists and turns of life and how that helped prepare him for ministry to people with very unique needs. Much of the community has wounds from religious abuse and familial trafficking in the form of child marriage and polygamy. They have church hurt and a distrust of outsiders, so ministry is done largely outside of the 4 walls of a church. Pastor Luke talks about how they have built up trust by loving the community, meeting their needs and not asking for anything in return.
Luke also serves on the town council in his community. He talks with Debi and Sam about running for and serving on the town council, why local government is important and why Christians should be active in government.
